The new 2024 Chevrolet Silverado EV may carry the brand's best-selling Silverado nameplate. Still, this workhorse is cut from a different cloth than its better-known gas-powered brother, with its powertrain based on the same electric platform as GMC's Hummer EV. While new to the lineup, the 2024 Silverado EV is a very able competitor in the full-size EV pick-up truck class. The 2024 Chevrolet Silverado EV brings a lot to the party--including a 450-mile range, which is far more range than any other electric pickup available, and nearly every other EV of any body style. The 2024 Silverado EV is available in two configurations: an RST First Edition and a fleet-oriented WT model. Each offers a solid suite of standard and available safety technologies.

What's New for 2024?
This is the inaugural year for the Chevrolet Silverado EV, so the entire vehicle is new for 2024. But Chevrolet didn't just take the existing Silverado platform and stick some EV motors on it. This model has been redesigned from the ground up to maximize range, power, space, and function. Drivers will find an EV with the brute strength of the Silverado nameplate, specially designed to perform as an EV truck.
Real World Performance
The 2024 Silverado EV sports two motors, offering robust acceleration and at its highest trim, up to 754 hp. The Silverado EV comes with all-wheel drive standard, with rear-wheel drive and adaptive air suspension both optional. The 2024 Silverado EV's innovative e4WD system provides amazingly responsive steering with nearly instantaneous torque going to all four wheels simultaneously. The Silverado EV's ride is smooth and intentional, with precise handling and confident braking that fits the bill for a vehicle of its size.
The Silverado EV uses General Motor's proprietary Ultium Platform to maximize interior space and utility, while maintaining athletic performance. The Silverado EV's DC fast charging capability comes standard and offers 100 miles of range added to the battery after a mere 10 minutes at a public DC charging station. While the Silverado EV's towing capacity of 10,000 lbs. and payload of 1,440 lbs., Chevrolet has also announced future plans for a fleet model with a max tow package offering up to 20,000 lbs. of max towing capacity.
